SPECIAL NOTICE:

By the time you receive this report, most members with A. T. T.s should have received their A. T. T. for 2007.
If you have not, you would have been notified directly from C.P.F.O., the club is only advised that it has NOT been issued, NOT the reason why NOT.

All permits have been received from C.P.F.O. and you will notice, if you looked at the permit, the issue date varies from October 1st, 2006 and will expire on your birthday, any where from a few months to a maximum of five [5] years [September 30th, 2011]. The responsibility from the RENEWAL of YOUR FIREARM LICENCE IS YOURS. The other condition of the permit is that you must be a Amember in good standing@ [paying your Club Dues on time]. If your dues are not paid by DEC 31ST each year
you're A T T will be CANCELLED!!!!

I have had many members NOT renew their POL/PAL by the expiry date on their
firearm licence [their birthday]. In the meantime the Club has sent in requests for the
issuance of their A.T.T., only to have it NOT issued because of the fore mentioned
situation. If you did not receive a renewal application in the mail, you can download
a copy [PDF] for the Gov’t web site [www.cfc.gc.ca]. CFC requires minimum of three
[3] weeks before the expiry date to process your application in a timely manner,
anything less will not guarantee a return to you before your current one expires.

COMMENT:

I have noticed at the Range Backstop positions that there has been an array of various improvised targets that some club members seem to enjoy shooting at [i.e. pumpkins
B 25 yard Range, pop cans and plastic bottles, as well as clay birds on the 50 & 100 yard backstops].   Any and all targets not approved by The Board of Directors is a VIOLATION of the Club Bylaws and Club Rules, this practice MUST STOP. Any one caught will have to be dealt with by The Board of Directors.
