Well things
have changed! 1.
/ Since the last newsletter there has been another
passing of one of our members. That
makes a total of three. They were as follows: Reg Read, Harry McBratney and
James Campbell. 2.
/As you are all aware by now, that we are affiliated
with the Ontario Federation Of Anglers and Hunters, which means that you have
individual coverage 24/7, that we did not have before. 3.
/To avoid the annual problem of late payment of dues,
this year the Board of Directors has authorized that the DUE DATE for the
payment of 2004 Club Dues be set for OCTOBER 31, 2003. This would mean that you would be billed
for your dues no latter than September 1, 2003. Your current dues are still valid until December 31, 2003. Important Event coming
up August 9th, 2003. The first ever for the club and for the
Brockville Area, a Summer Biathlon, that is to say, running and shooting
competition. We have been given guidance
from Biathlon Ontario. That being said, I would like to request that any one
who is available that day, please contact Terry Fox – 498-1407 or John
Chisamore – 342-1641. Further to the
foregoing, it is necessary to have a firearms training session for those
taking part in the competition, those on the firing line should have VALID
firearms licences. We need volunteers to act as clerks as well as scorers,
water bottle people, traffic control, runners, etc. If you feel you would
like to be in the competition contact Terry or John. PISTOL SHOOT - More that half of the Club has A. T. T. s for
restricted firearms, but only about 2 or 4 ever show up at a Club Pistol
Shoot. So, on OCTOBER 19TH,
2003 AT 9:00 AM, there will be a pistol shoot. There has been a Large Trophy donated for the placing of the
Winners name and for the winner an 8
x 10 Colour Photo to take home. The Pistol Shoot consists of:25 yd. - Center
