Changes to the BDFGC News Letter Policy
As of the Mar 7, 2007 Executive Meeting the club has changed the way it is handling News Letter communication with the membership.
In the past, two News Letters a year were mailed to the membership. This information was complete but typically 6 months old and it did not allow the club to inform the members of current issues in a timely manner.
As of March 2007 the Executive decided to utilize the web page to keep the members informed. This allowed up-to-date information to be available, saved some money and freed up some time of the volunteers involved. Paper News letter mailings are still available if the Secretary receives a written request. They will be mailed on a limited distribution for people who do not have internet access. At this time there have been 4 requests.

This page has 2 main areas, the left-hand navigation bar and the right-hand calendar of events
The calendar shows events for the current year, whether they are confirmed and whether there has been a schedule change.
This page contains the current issues that the club is facing and any events outside the club that members should be aware of
The information here changes regularly so visit often.
The remainder of the links provide the indicated information. Some such as the http://www.bdfgc.com/minutes.htm are copies of the minutes of the Executive Meetings and are not available to the general public. You must know the current years gate combination to access these pages.
On Going Issues
Members not renewing on time. This impacts our liability insurance and (for handgun owners) their ATT status.
Changes to the standards by which the range must be operated. These changes must be communicated to the membership as failure to follow them could result in range closure.
